Denise
(McLean) Solis is a published author, public speaker and certified Life
Coach. She also happens to be the mother of a celebrity. Her son’s
name is AJ McLean of the group Backstreet Boys. Denise’s only
child is also a recovering drug addict and alcoholic, a reality that
has greatly influenced her life's purpose and direction.
Denise
has traveled across the country speaking to groups of all ages about
her son’s battle with drugs and alcohol. She has gone into middle
and high schools, universities, churches and even treatment centers
to bring her message of hope to those who need it most. In her book,
Backstreet Mom, published in 2001, Denise tells the heartfelt story
of her son’s rise to fame and fall into the black hole of addictive
disorder.
Her son’s story is one of triumph. He now lives a life of recovery.
In gratitude and desire to spare others some of her past ordeal, Denise
has chosen to give back by telling her story to others and by becoming
a mentor.
Denise
became a certified Life Coach in 2006 in order to further help others.
Through her coaching, Denise helps people identify their truest desires,
balance their lives and create total happiness. As you will read in
some of her client’s testimonials, she has been inspirational
in her guidance of individuals who want to move forward on their path
of creating a fulfilling, joyful experience of life.
Denise works with her clients to find the necessary steps and exercises
that will bring forth the things they honestly desire. Once these goals
are determined, Denise investigates with that person to discover what
obstacles are keeping them from their goals. At that point Denise and
her client become partners in the journey to break down any barriers
and clear their life path.
Denise
resides in Orlando, Florida with her husband and two dogs. She writes
for magazines, webzines and local publications.
Denise holds her coaching certification from Coach Training Alliance,
Boulder, Colorado and is recognized by the International Coaches Federation.
